Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: Randallstown, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (5x8s)
- Possible weekend help and on-call duties
- Work settings include Outpatient, Inpatient, and Emergency Room (ER)
- General skills required: IV starts, contract work, biopsies
- 1st time travelers are welcome
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Valid ARRT (MRI) or ARMRIT certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience working in Outpatient, Inpatient, and Emergency Room (ER) settings
- Experience with IV starts, contract work, and biopsies
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification and transcript/diploma preferred
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Drug screening (9 panel) within 30 days of start
- Required vaccinations or immunity documentation: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Respirator fit test (for new contracts)
- Various competency exams including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency if applicable
- Stroke and Trauma CEUs as required by unit or facility
- Attendance and floating policies acknowledgment
- Photo for badge and other facility-specific forms
Additional Notes
- Radiation badge required for Radiology Technologists; provided by the facility
- Work history verification for last 7 years (2 employers) required
- References may be required as backup for work history verification
- Candidates must complete health assessment surveys prior to start
- EKG competency exam may be required depending on unit assignment
This position is suitable for MRI Technologists with experience in radiology and cardiology settings who are comfortable working in multiple care environments and meeting comprehensive compliance requirements.
