Registered Nurse - PCU

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• General Medical/Surgical telemetry unit with a focus on cardiac care.
• The floor admits structural heart patients.
• Shift rotation is approximately 50/50 between day and night shifts.
• No on-call required.
• Typically scheduled as one week of days followed by one week of nights per pay period. Shift changes within the same week are not required unless requested.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• No call responsibilities.
• Facility provides first week’s schedule prior to start.
• Multiple mandatory facility-specific documents and attestations must be completed before starting assignment.
• Medication and pharmacology competency exams required with minimum passing scores.
• Telemetry unit requires review of cardiac procedure education materials and competency assessments.
