Job Description

• Determine appropriate radiographic techniques based on patient anatomy and condition to obtain quality images for radiologist interpretation.
• Provide advanced clinical patient care at this level.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, including transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning.
• Explain procedures to patients considering their physical and emotional needs.
• Record digital images as directed.
• Maintain pertinent records.
• Provide radiation protection following safety standards.
• May assist Radiology Technologist students and new staff with exams, sterile technique, and supply stocking.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiology Technologist license in Massachusetts
• Radiology Technologist with 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate's degree in Diagnostic Imaging
• ARRT Registered Technologist (ARRT-R) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

• Documentation of immunizations and health screenings including:

  • MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccination or proof of immunity.
  • TB test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if break >6 months.
  • Health statement signed by a licensed provider within 1 year of start date.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity strongly preferred.
  • Tdap vaccination within 10 years preferred.
• Criminal background checks including:

  • State and national criminal history.
  • Sex offender registry check.
  • Exclusion checks for relevant healthcare programs.
• Verification of education and professional licenses.
• Resume with past 7 years of work experience.
• Two professional references (minimum one supervisor-level).
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year.
• Confirmation of assignment form upon acceptance.
• N95 respirator fit test and medical clearance within 1 year, updated annually.
• Compliance with all required documentation and credential verifications prior to start.
