Description

Job Opportunity: MedSurg / PCU Nurse - Night Shift

Location: Newport, Vermont

Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Position for a PCU/MedSurg/Telemetry nurse on the night shift
Includes every other weekend rotation
Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties
Floating to other units may be required based on need
Critical access hospital with 25 beds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Vermont
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 5 years of nursing experience
At least 1 year of recent experience in MedSurg / Telemetry nursing within the last year
Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Experience in charge nurse roles

Additional Information

Location is a small town near the Canadian border, known for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
Personal transportation is strongly recommended due to limited public transportation
The community offers a peaceful lifestyle with ample recreational opportunities
Agency professionals must attend quarterly department education sessions
Support provided for transition into the community and role
