Registered Nurse - Stepdown Neuro

Job Description

• Work on a Neuro/Surgical Telemetry floor (MS/Tele).
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1845-0715).
• No on-call duties.
• May be required to float to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units or low acuity ICU.
• Holiday and weekend requirements: 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; must be willing to work Memorial Day.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year.
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.

Additional Notes

• Travel experience is preferred but not required.
• Locals and first-time travelers are accepted.
• Must be willing to complete an Epic test-out if required.
• Must comply with facility appearance standards and safety manual acknowledgements.
• No exceptions for flu vaccine declinations or medical/religious exemptions.
• Floating to other units may be required.
