Job Description

• Provide respiratory care for general/all patient populations, including NICU experience.
• Candidates with Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential will be considered.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• First-time travelers may be considered, but prior travel experience is strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in Texas.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year.
• Experience working with Neonate patients.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• I9 or attestation.
• Background check (7-year, including SSN trace, counties, national, sex offender, and motor vehicle check if applicable).
• Education verification (transcript or diploma).
• State-specific employment checks (Texas DADS Employability Status and Employee Misconduct Registry).
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including THC within 10 business days prior to start; no pending results allowed.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start; must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Immunizations and health documents:

  • TDAP vaccine within 10 years.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination.
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series/declination.
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination.
  • Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (with exemptions accepted).
• Fit mask testing (3M 1860 Regular or 1860S) required and must be updated annually.
• Pass/fail testing for telemetry nurses (if applicable).
• Medication/pharmacology competency exams as applicable.
• Annual updates for background checks and safety manual acknowledgments.
• Facility-specific documents and acknowledgments must be reviewed and signed prior to start.

• Orientation includes mandatory modules (~3-4 hours).
• Parking available during orientation and employment.
• Candidate must complete various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments prior to start.
• References: 2 references required within 3 years of start.
