Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Description
- Weekend shifts required every week: Saturday and Sunday plus two rotating weekdays.
- Floating between multiple hospital campuses may be required.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
Required Qualifications
- License: Indiana Respiratory Therapist license (IN license) required.
- Certification:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years total experience with at least 18 months recent ICU experience.
- Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License or Passport (clear copy).
- Background checks including criminal, sex offender, and education verification required.
- Physical exam completed within 12 months of start date.
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start date (specific approved respirators required).
- Immunizations and health screenings including TB test, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, and seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start date.
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology test required.
- Completion of mandatory facility-specific orientation modules prior to start.
Shift Details
- Every weekend required (Saturday and Sunday) plus two rotating weekdays.
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are accepted.
- Floating between multiple hospital locations is expected.
- Strict compliance with immunization and health screening policies is mandatory.
- Facility-specific orientation and competency requirements must be completed before starting.
- Indiana RN license holders are restricted from working at this facility after 11/30/2024, except for certain specialties (not applicable to Respiratory Therapists).
Summary
This is a travel contract opportunity for a Registered Respiratory Therapist with ICU experience, requiring weekend availability and flexibility to float between multiple hospital locations. Candidates must hold an Indiana Respiratory Therapist license and current certifications including RRT, ACLS, and BLS. Comprehensive health screenings, immunizations, and background checks are mandatory. First-time travel therapists are welcome to apply.
