Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician

Location: Fort Worth, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule: Four 9-hour shifts per week

  • One shift from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • One shift from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Alternating days off
  • Approximately 10 days of call per month
• Seeking an Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician with Neuro experience

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Neuro experience required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• Background check including SS trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide and sex offender checks
• Education verification of initial and most recent related degrees
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 1 year of start; PPD not accepted
• Required immunizations or titers:

  • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) vaccine required (TD not accepted)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, 2 vaccines, or history of disease)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
• Annual renewal of required competencies and certifications as applicable

Orientation and Onboarding

• Must attend Occupational Health Appointment and Orientation prior to start
• Orientation typically held once per week on Tuesdays
• Completion of electronic onboarding documents required before documentation due date
• Pass/fail testing on medication calculation and EKG may be required depending on unit assignment

Experience

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Specialty years of experience not specified; however, IR Tech with Neuro experience is preferred

References and Skills

• Two professional references verified within one year of start required
• Skills checklist must be updated annually and valid at start date
