Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Outpatient
Location: Chambersburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Outpatient physical therapy focusing on orthopedic, geriatric, and some neurological cases
- Work setting: outpatient rehab center located within a retirement community
- Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Traveler hours may be 8 or 10 hours per day if requested
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of experience in physical therapy
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
Additional Requirements
- Pre-screening by clinical team to determine fit before final manager interview
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, fingerprinting, and child abuse clearance (specific to Pennsylvania requirements)
- Verification of education and licensure through primary sources
- Required health documents:
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP
- Immunizations and/or titers for: Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or valid medical/religious exemption (declinations not accepted)
- COVID-19 vaccination or valid exemption/declination
- Professional references: 2 required within 3 years
- Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
- Photo for badge (passport-style, professional appearance)
- Completion of facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, and health & wellness commitment
Work Environment
- Clinic located within a retirement community
- No weekend or call requirements
- Holidays as needed
- No floating required
Notes
- Candidate must comply with all state-specific and facility-specific credentialing and compliance requirements
- Fingerprinting results must be on file within the first 45 days of assignment or the candidate will be removed from the floor
- Facility requires adherence to a tobacco and fragrance-free policy
