Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech Maternal Fetal
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Patient Age Group: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: No
- On-Call Requirement: No
- Equipment Used: GE ultrasound machines
- Typical Workload: Scanning 7-10 patients per day, primarily OB exam types with occasional GYN scans
- Orientation: Bi-weekly sessions available
- First-Time Travelers: Accepted
- Local Candidates: Considered within 75 miles
Required Qualifications
- Valid Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography experience within the last year
- Certification:
- ARDMS
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
- Ultrasound Technologist experience
- Must be proficient with GE ultrasound equipment
- Ability to perform a variety of OB and some GYN scans
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (if used for I9 verification)
- I9 or Attestation form
- Background checks including:
- Criminal background (within 90 days) covering all counties lived/worked/attended school in last 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (within 90 days)
- Education verification confirming graduation from an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program
- OFAC Sanctions List Search (within 30 days)
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella vaccination or positive antibody titers
- Hepatitis B vaccination/titer or declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination (required for flu season)
- Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including THC within 30 days of start
- Two professional references from employment within the last 12 months (at least one supervisor)
- Employment application with 7 years of work history
- Annual skills checklist and competency exams as required
Additional Notes
- No weekend or on-call shifts required
- Floating is not applicable
- Candidate must set up a guest account prior to clearance for access to orientation and work systems
- Testing at orientation includes pass/fail exams on technician knowledge
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card training may be provided onsite if not already held
- Candidates must complete required online modules prior to orientation
- Documentation must be current and compliant with all requirements before start date
