Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Job Description

• Must be willing to float within 5 hospitals within skillset.
• Block scheduling is NOT allowed.
• Required to pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing the contract (only 2 attempts allowed, must be taken on a PC).
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio experience required; may be pulled to facilities with higher volumes.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
• Circulate and scrub experience for C-section required.
• End of week (EOW) scheduling.
• Must work 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday.
• Scrubs provided by the hospital.
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or attestation.
• Government-issued photo ID.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG.
• Certifications must be current and valid (no expiring within 30 days of contract start).
• Physical exam within the last 12 months.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
• Required immunizations or positive titers: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• Drug screening: 10 panel drug screen without THC within 6 months of start.
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for flu season.
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation.
• Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better).
• Latex questionnaire.
• 2 professional references within the last 2 years.
• Employment application and skills checklist updated annually.
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (NJ state requirement).

Additional Information

• Candidates must complete all required documentation and certifications by specified deadlines.
• Dysrhythmia test must be taken on a PC; iOS devices are not compatible.
• Failure to complete required testing or documentation on time will result in contract cancellation.
• Floating between multiple hospital locations within the system is required.

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery nurses who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple hospital locations and have the required certifications and experience.
