Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technician

Location: Lynchburg, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Position: Interventional Radiology Technician
Schedule: 36 hours per week, 4 shifts of 9.5 hours each (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
On-Call: 1 day per week plus an on-call weekend every 3rd or 4th weekend (from Friday 5 PM to Monday 7 AM)
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
Unexpired government-issued photo ID
Background checks including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender registry, and others within 30 days of start
Education verification as applicable
Physical exam within 6 months of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start (instant drug screen permitted; marijuana not required)
Flu vaccination required during flu season (medical and religious exemptions accepted with mask requirement)
Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
Color blindness testing (Ishihara)
Competency exams as applicable to specialty
Signed acknowledgment of safety and orientation manuals
2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years of hire)
Skills checklist required

Notes

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
ACLS, PALS, NRP, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI, and other specialty certifications may be required depending on unit assignment; verify with job specifics.

This position offers a structured schedule with on-call responsibilities and requires compliance with comprehensive credentialing and health documentation standards.
