Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Open heart experience required
- Scrub experience required
- Schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours (06:00-16:30) with alternating days off
- On-call 1-2 days per week with 30-minute response time
- Work every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 6:00 AM) and holidays as needed
- Floating as needed
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
On-Call & Weekend Requirements
- On-call with 30-minute response time
- Work every 3rd or 4th weekend
- Work at least one major holiday
Screening & Interview Process
- Clinical screening to determine fit
- Manager interview required
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start (cannot start with results pending)
- FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
- Child Abuse History Clearance required; may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
- Employment application and recent resume required
- Two professional references within 3 years required
- Skills checklist required annually
- Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Varicella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (medical or religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination accepted
- Respiratory safety clearance required within 1 year of start and renewed annually
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (specific to agency requirements)
Additional Requirements
- Clear, professional passport-style photo for badge
- Completion of facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, and health & wellness commitments
- Completion of online learning modules prior to start (via Learning Management System)
- New hire orientation required by end of first day
