Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

• Open heart experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours (06:00-16:30) with alternating days off
• On-call 1-2 days per week with 30-minute response time
• Work every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 6:00 AM) and holidays as needed
• Floating as needed
• May care for COVID-19 patients
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience within the last year
• Experience with Epic

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

On-Call & Weekend Requirements

• On-call with 30-minute response time
• Work every 3rd or 4th weekend
• Work at least one major holiday

Screening & Interview Process

• Clinical screening to determine fit
• Manager interview required

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start (cannot start with results pending)
• FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
• Child Abuse History Clearance required; may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
• Employment application and recent resume required
• Two professional references within 3 years required
• Skills checklist required annually
• Performance evaluations completed onsite during assignment

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted
• Immunizations or positive titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
• Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (medical or religious exemptions accepted with documentation)
• COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination accepted
• Respiratory safety clearance required within 1 year of start and renewed annually
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (specific to agency requirements)

Additional Requirements

• Clear, professional passport-style photo for badge
• Completion of facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, and health & wellness commitments
• Completion of online learning modules prior to start (via Learning Management System)
• New hire orientation required by end of first day

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Response time for return to office (RTO) is a maximum of 7 days
