Location: Beaumont, Texas

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform a variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures, support other imaging technologists as needed, and help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. Flexibility is required to work different shifts and/or at other campuses as needed. The technologist will troubleshoot basic maintenance issues, participate in quality assurance, and resolve problems related to image processing and archiving systems. Participation in ongoing education, safety, and technical advancements within the scope of licensure is expected. The role requires adherence to radiation safety protocols while handling radionuclides and pharmaceuticals.
Responsibilities
- Perform imaging procedures and assist in patient throughput within licensure and competency scope.
- Support radiologists and referring physicians to promote physician satisfaction.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all duties.
- Adapt patient care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and age-specific needs.
- Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Work other shifts and locations as required.
- Ensure exams are properly scanned and stored in PACS; act as PACS Superuser during downtime and escalate issues as needed.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions and follow up appropriately.
- Promote staff growth, development, and engagement by collaborating with management and coworkers.
Work Schedule
- 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
- Typical shift: 7 AM – 3 PM (may extend to 5 PM based on census and case load)
- No weekday call; weekend call as needed
- Float requirement to opposite shift based on staff and census
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year
- Certification by ARRT or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- MRT licensure by the Texas Medical Board
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
