Location: Clinton, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with experience in adult critical care, emergency department, and transport. This is a travel contract position with an ASAP start date.
Work Schedule
- 3 shifts per week, 1900-0730 (overnight)
- Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maryland
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
Experience
- 2 years of specialty experience required (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)
- Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, and Transport experience required
Additional Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana)
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform job duties without accommodations and free from communicable disease
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year; annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunization documentation including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
- N95 Fit Test within 9 months of start and updated annually (client may complete on-site if needed)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
- Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
Certifications & Competencies
- ACLS and BLS certifications current and valid
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (passing score required)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (for applicable units)
- Other certifications as required by unit or specialty
Notes
- Locals within 60 miles may be considered at a different rate (not disclosed here)
- Background checks and attestations must be completed prior to start
- Facility-specific safety and compliance training required annually
