Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Seneca, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Hybrid position requiring registration and competency in both Nuclear Medicine and CT
  • Must have experience performing PET scans
  • Required to have at least 1 year of experience in the field
  • Must have 1 year of EPIC experience
  • Required equipment experience: Siemens
  • Preferred equipment experience: GE & Philips
  • Scrubs color: Hunter Green
  • Unit will consider first-time travelers based on experience

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • SCRQSA certification
  • ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB registered
  • ARRT (CT) registered or NMTCB (CT) (required for South Carolina)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, and other certifications may be required depending on unit specifics (verify prior to start)
  • Primary source verification of state license required; license must be valid and not expire within 30 days of start
  • Must have 1 year of EPIC experience

Required Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine / Radiology specialty
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required but first-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience

Equipment & Procedure Experience

  • Siemens equipment experience required
  • GE and Philips equipment experience preferred
  • Experience with PET scans required

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

  • Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and fingerprinting as applicable
  • Drug screening within 1 year, updated annually
  • Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
  • Immunizations and health documents including TB test, Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, Flu vaccine or exemption, Hepatitis B, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella
  • Photo for badge (passport style, light background, no obstructions)
  • Completion of online orientation modules and pass/fail testing prior to start (approximately 12-16 hours)
  • HIPAA and safety training acknowledgements
  • Medication and pharmacology competency exams required annually

Additional Notes

  • Respirator fit test will be completed onsite during orientation
  • Floating policy acknowledgment required (if applicable)
  • Candidates must carry a valid driver’s license for computer access setup and while on duty
  • Candidates should be prepared to complete all required testing and documentation promptly to avoid delays in start date

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in South Carolina
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year
  • Experience as a CT Technologist
  • Experience with Epic system

This position offers a structured orientation and compliance process to ensure readiness and safety. Candidates should be proactive in completing all required documentation and certifications.
