Job Details

• Perform frozen sections, immunohistochemistry (IHC), special stains, and recuts.
• Limited embedding duties on this shift.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• Floating within scope is rare.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty. First-time travelers are not accepted.
• Clinical screening required to determine fit before final approval.
• Return to office (RTO) within 7 days.
• Holiday work expectations: If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler is expected to work it; if 2 holidays, work both; if 3 holidays, work 2 of them.
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day.
• Full compliance with onboarding and credentialing required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Orientation hours vary based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment).

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Histology Technologist.
• Must have Histology Technologist experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Histology Technologist.

Additional Notes

• Candidate must review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policies prior to start.
• Orientation includes competency exams as applicable.
• Compliance with all credentialing and onboarding requirements is mandatory.
• Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers are not accepted for this role.
