Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (1900-0730), options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
Weekend Requirement: Yes
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description

• Provide care for low to moderate risk laboring patients, antepartum, postpartum patients, and their newborns.
• Triage patients in triage rooms and perform maternal and newborn assessments.
• Circulate and recover C-sections in OR suite and private rooms.
• Floating within the hospital required; no floating to other hospitals.
• Block scheduling accommodations not available.
• Locals accepted.
• Pending license accepted if application is submitted and received by licensing board.
• Return to work restrictions: maximum 1 week.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oregon
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP) nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
