Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
Schedule:
- 3 shifts of 12 hours each (day shift)
- On-call required
- Workdays include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Weekend work every weekend
- Holiday rotation required
Unit: Pre-Screen Unit
Patient Population: May care for COVID-19 patients
Facility Environment: Tobacco and fragrance-free
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Radiology Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Radiology Technician experience within the last year
- X-Ray Technician experience

- Call required
- Floating: Not applicable
Required Documents & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- I9 or attestation
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM
- HHS/OIG
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
- PA FBI fingerprinting (required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must be finalized within 45 days)
- Education verification (highest level of education)
- Professional references (2 within last 3 years)
- Employment application or most recent resume
- Skills checklist (annual)
- Performance evaluation (completed onsite during assignment)
Required Certifications (as applicable)
- ARRT (required)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke, etc.) as applicable per unit/job description
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
- Immunizations or positive titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (specific to agency requirements)
- Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
Additional Information
- Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 7 days
- Manager interview required after clinical screening
- Candidate will be reviewed for clinical fit before final approval
- Photo for badge required (passport-style, clear, professional)
- Completion of facility-specific documents and agreements required (e.g., Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement)
- Completion of online learning modules and new hire orientation required for RNs and CNAs (may not apply to this role)
This position requires adherence to all state-specific and facility-specific credentialing, background checks, and health documentation policies. Candidates must be prepared to comply with all requirements prior to and during the assignment.
