Registered Nurse - Home Health (Travel)

Job Description

This is a travel RN position in Home Health, providing backfill coverage. The role involves managing a caseload of 20-25 patients with an expectation of 5-6 visits per day. The patient population includes adult medical-surgical, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary cases.

Schedule & Hours

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
• Weekend hours: Approximately 36 hours, with every other weekend rotation plus a day off during the week, or a permanent schedule option based on agency needs (e.g., Tuesday-Saturday with Sunday and Monday off, or Sunday-Thursday with Friday and Saturday off)
• Call: No overnight call; callback required 2-4 times per month between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM if needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system
• Experience with OASIS documentation system

Equipment Provided

• Agency laptop and smartphone with necessary accessories
• Nursing supply bin and bag including vital signs equipment and INR machine

Work Environment & Dress Code

• Business casual or scrubs (any color)
• No jeans, open-toed shoes, or clothing with holes

• Patient ratios and assignments may change based on agency needs during the contract
• Collaborative team environment with emphasis on good communication and openness to feedback
• EMR system used: Epic
