Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Work in a newly reopened 16-bed Oncology Unit specializing in patients with various cancer diagnoses.
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5.
Specialize in the administration of chemotherapy.
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
Work schedule includes holidays as required and every other weekend.
Accepts 36 or 48 hours per week.
The unit focuses on providing a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach to specialized nursing care for cancer patients, aiming to create an optimal healing environment for patients and their families.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum of 1 year of recent Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross

Additional Information

This is a patient-facing, clinical position.
Electronic Medical Record system used: Meditech.
Dress code: Solid navy scrub colors.
Must be willing to float to other units/hospitals.
Parking is available.
