Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - CVOR
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Open heart experience required
- Scrub experience required
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (06:00 - 16:30) with alternating days off
- On-call 1-2 days per week with 30-minute response time
- Work every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM to Monday 6:00 AM) and holidays as needed
- Floating as needed
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
- EPIC experience required
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required (refer to unit/job description)
On-Call & Weekend Requirements
- On-call with 30-minute response time
- Work every 3rd or 4th weekend
- Work at least one major holiday
Screening & Interview Process
- Clinical screening to determine fit
- Manager interview required
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, fingerprinting, and child abuse clearance (must be current and compliant with Pennsylvania state requirements)
- Education verification (highest level)
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Immunizations and titers:
- Hepatitis B (positive titer or full vaccine series)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
- Varicella vaccine or positive titer
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved exemption/declination
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 1 year (specific to agency requirements)
- Respiratory safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually
- Professional references (2 within last 3 years)
- Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable (including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam)
- Photo for badge (passport-style, professional)
- Completion of required facility-specific documents and agreements (code of conduct, confidentiality, health & wellness, etc.)
- Completion of required online learning modules and new hire orientation
Additional Notes
- Maximum return-to-office (RTO) time: 7 days
- Facility requires a tobacco and fragrance-free environment
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
