Job Opportunity: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Location: Oxford, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Must have ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Experience with both adult and nursery patients required
- Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required
- Weekends and holidays required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with adult patients
- Experience working with nursery patients
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I-9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
- Background check: 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for every contract renewal/extension
- Education verification (diploma acceptable if education cannot be verified)
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 6 months prior to start
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titer, vaccination, or declination)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella (positive titer, vaccination, or declination)
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
Additional Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
- Completion of employment application/resume
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgement
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start

- Candidates must be prepared to work weekends and holidays as part of the schedule
This position is ideal for a Certified Respiratory Therapist with at least 2 years of experience, current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and NRP, and the flexibility to work weekends and holidays in a travel contract role.
