Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Location: Leonardtown, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, 5 days a week (5x8 hour shifts)
• Shift times vary between 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, and 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM on call days
• Weekday call approximately once a week from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Weekend call approximately every 4-5 weekends from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday

• Orientation held every Monday

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function
• I-9 and E-Verify attestation required upon hire
• Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to and during employment
• Education verification of highest degree required by position
• Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), including multiple substances
• Annual physical exam confirming ability to work without accommodations and free from communicable disease
• N95 fit test within 9 months of start, updated annually (client may complete onsite if needed)
• Immunization and health documentation:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with additional requirements if history of TB)
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Documentation of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccines or positive titers
  • Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccine or positive titer
  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept-Mar)

Competency Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam within 3 years, minimum 80% score
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (Relias Dysrhythmia Basics A) within 1 year of start, updated annually, minimum 80% overall and 100% lethal rhythms section
• Color blindness testing (online or in-person)
• Other competency exams as required by unit

References and Work History

• Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
• Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education, employment, license, and contact information
• Verification of at least 2 years of employment in the past 7 years, including at least one travel assignment

Additional Notes

• Facility-specific modules must be completed prior to start
• Annual safety manual acknowledgement required
• Some certifications and requirements may be unit-specific and must be reviewed accordingly
