Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse
Location: Salisbury, North Carolina

Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Interventional Radiology (IR) experience to provide procedure coverage in a high-acuity environment focused primarily on interventional radiology and invasive cardiology. The role includes day shifts with 24/7 on-call responsibilities for STEMI, emergent, and urgent IR and cardiology procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience

Work Schedule & Call Requirements
- Shift: 8-hour day shift (07:30 - 16:00)
- Patient Ratios: 1:3-4
- Call Coverage:
- Weekday call from 16:00 to 07:30 next morning
- Weekend call from Friday 16:00 to Monday 07:30
- Call rotation includes twice a week for two weeks per month, plus one call weekend per month with a following week off from call
- Occasional additional call may be required, distributed evenly among staff
- Callback Time:
- STEMI: 30 minutes
- IR: Varies by procedure type
- Float Requirement: None
Patient Population & Procedures
- Primarily Interventional Radiology (85%) and Invasive Cardiology (15%)
- Procedures include peripheral vascular, electrophysiology device implants, and emergent cardiology interventions
- Equipment used includes MAC Lab, IVUS, Angio Lab systems, Atherectomy systems, Radiofrequency Ablation units, and ultrasound devices
Orientation & Training
- Unit orientation: 16 hours
- Scrubs provided
- EPIC electronic health record system used
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Candidates must complete and provide documentation for:
- Background checks (within 6 months for clinical roles)
- Drug screening (9-panel within 6 months)
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) titers or vaccinations
- Hepatitis B status or declination form
- Varicella immunity
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
- Certifications and competency exams as required
- Photo ID for badge creation (passport-style photo on white background)
- Completion of facility-specific orientation and compliance training modules
Additional Notes
- No Return to Origin (RTO) allowed after booking; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation
- Weekly rotation among staff for procedure coverage
- Interview with hiring manager required prior to offer
- Facility-specific policies and training must be completed prior to start
