Description

Cath Lab/Angio Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract

Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Unit: Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular
Shifts: Day shifts with varied start times; 8 or 10-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
Call: Required to take call 1-2 days per week, approximately every 2-3 weekends, including holidays
Documentation System: Meditech EMR
Monitoring Equipment: Sensis
Other Equipment: Siemens
Lab Support: 2 labs
Call Team Size: 4 members
Procedures Involved: Interventional Radiology (IR), Vascular, Cardiac procedures
Responsibilities include care for patients undergoing angiography, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) insertion, and hemodynamic monitoring
Basic knowledge required of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, interventional radiology, as well as imaging modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii
Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience, including experience within the last year
Cardiac Cath Lab experience
Current BLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is required for this position
Call schedule includes holidays and weekend rotations
Specialized skills in hemodynamic monitoring and use of radiology equipment are essential
