Description
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel/Contract)
Location: Linton, Indiana
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Position requires a minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Medical Surgical specialty.
- Local candidates are eligible at the same rate.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana.
- Minimum of 1.5 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience.
- Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
- Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-Spot) within 12 months of start; if past positive, a clear chest X-ray within 1 year is required.
- Tdap vaccine within the last 10 years (full Tdap, not Dtap).
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
- Varicella (titer, 2 vaccines, or history of chickenpox)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 1 year of start.
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) with documentation; medical or religious exemptions require facility approval.
Documentation & Compliance
- Completion of facility-specific documents prior to start, including:
- Non-Employee Application
- Health Screening Questionnaire
- Non-Employee Education In-Service Training & Quiz
- Agreement and Acknowledgement Forms
- Professional Image Policy review
- Mandatory checklist completed by Quality Management
- Two professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 2 years of start).
Additional Information
- Report to Human Resources at 8 a.m. on the first day.
- Parking available in employee lots on the west side or gravel lot north of the hospital.
