Job Opportunity: Adult Psych RN - Nights

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x 12-hour shifts, Nights

Job Summary

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care on an inpatient adolescent behavioral unit for children and adolescents aged 6-18.
• Primary diagnoses treated include major depression and ADD/ADHD.
• Responsibilities include medication administration and education, daily documentation, behavior management, and leading education groups.
• Must be willing to float to Chemical Dependency/Detox units as needed.

Required Qualifications

Education & Licensure

• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Valid RN license in Maine required.
• BLS certification required.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience required.
• Psychiatric nursing experience within the last year required.

Skills & Abilities

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required.

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the job location in Maine.
• Previous employees and candidates with licensure or background issues will not be considered.
• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid.
• The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
