Job Opportunity: Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Weekend Requirement: 1-2 weekends per month (Saturday-Sunday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
On-Call: Required on weekdays (2-3 times/month) and weekends (2 times every other month)
Caseload: 7-8 studies per 8-hour shift; 8-9 studies per 10-hour shift
Floating: May float to nearby sister facilities downtown
Radius Rule: 60 miles; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
Block Schedule: Possible with prior approval, but not guaranteed

Teaching hospital with Magnet status and Level 1 Trauma designation
865 staffed beds
Charting system: Epic
Scrub color: Navy Blue
Parking: Paid parking required nights and weekends only (one-time $20 pass)
Emergency Response: All staff assigned to emergency response teams; hurricane season June-November (peak in August-September)

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist within the last year
