Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract

Location

  • Lewisburg, Pennsylvania

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 - 6:45)
  • Hours per week: 36
  • Weekend and holiday work as needed
  • No call requirements
  • No floating duties
  • May care for COVID-19 patients
  • Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Pennsylvania
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner experience within the last year
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start; updated annually
  • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
  • Pennsylvania FBI fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
  • Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts required
  • 2 professional references within 3 years required
  • Most recent resume or employment application required
  • Annual skills checklist required

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
  • Negative QGold or TSpot TB test within 90 days of start (PPD not accepted)
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) required, or declination with documentation
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; if titers negative/equivocal, booster doses required per facility policy
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
  • Respiratory Safety Clearance required within 1 year of start; renew annually
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (requirement for agency only, not facility)

Additional Requirements

  • Clear, professional, passport-style photo for badge
  • Completion and signing of facility-specific documents including:
    • Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work
    • Commitment to Health & Wellness
    • Code of Conduct
    • Confidentiality Agreement
    • Non-Employee Affidavit
    • Hepatitis B declination form (if applicable)
    • Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (if applicable)
  • Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules as assigned (primarily for RNs and CNAs; confirm if applicable)
  • No scheduling requests approved; maximum return-to-office (RTO) time is 7 days
