Description

Nuclear Medicine Technician - Louisiana (Monroe)

Job Summary

Arrange patients for nuclear medicine examinations.
Produce nuclear medicine images to assist in diagnosis.
Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure and ensure patient safety.
Prepare, calibrate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals.
Operate equipment safely according to departmental policies.
Provide pre- and post-procedure education to patients and families.
Initially work under supervision, progressing to general supervision.
May evaluate competency of others as a preceptor.

Location & Shift

Location: Monroe, Louisiana
Shift: 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Louisiana.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
