Description
MRI Tech - Travel/Contract Position
Location: Portland, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Shift: Night shift, 4x10 hours (8:00 PM – 6:30 AM), Sunday through Wednesday
- Call: 2 shifts per month
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Start Date: May 3
- Floating: Mandatory within the site and across the system; refusal to float will result in contract cancellation
- Low Census Cancellation: Must cancel 1.5 hours before shift start; may be cancelled one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty
- Education: Travelers must complete any assigned education within one week of assignment
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in Oregon (OBMI)
- Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT MRI certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only (including AHA RQI and instructor cards)
Additional Requirements
- References: 2 professional references (supervisory or above) within 3 years of start
- Mandatory review of facility policies and procedures prior to start
- Signed Floating Acknowledgement required
- Competency exams required for all clinical candidates
- Primary source verification required for licenses and certifications
Notes
- This position requires working night shifts with a 4-day workweek of 10-hour shifts.
- Floating is mandatory and refusal will lead to contract termination.
- Candidates may be permitted to start with pending background checks on a case-by-case basis.
- Drug testing excludes marijuana for Washington facilities.
- All certifications must be AHA approved where applicable.
