Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract)
Location
- South Bend, Indiana
Position Details
- Specialty: Interventional Radiology (IR Tech) with Neurovascular IR experience
- Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Call Requirements: 1 day per week plus weekend call every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Weekend Requirement: On-call only on weekends
- Holiday Requirement: As needed
- Floating: None
- Daily Caseload: 10-15 cases per tech
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Familiar with wires
Licensure & Certifications
- Active state license required by start date (pending licenses accepted if active by start)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only
- Other certifications may be required based on unit specifics (refer to unit job description for details)
Background & Health Requirements
- Background check covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in, required within 90 days of start
- Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required
- Physical exam required
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or Q-gold accepted; T-spot not accepted)
- TB questionnaire required prior to start and annually
- Immunizations or titers required for: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start (flu documentation must be on file by December 15)
Additional Requirements
- Must submit a clear, passport-style photo for badge issuance
- Completion of facility-specific modules (approx. 8-10 hours) prior to start; paid time for completion
- Employment application required prior to start
- COVID-19 and flu vaccine exemptions allowed with proper medical or religious documentation
- Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement must be signed before starting
