Job Opportunity: ER Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Harvey, Illinois (Rotating between 3 offsite clinics in Flossmoor, Calumet City, and Tinley Park)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Job Description
- Provide emergency nursing care in rotating offsite clinics within the area.
- Work primarily in the ER setting.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year, updated annually, confirming good health.
- Fit mask test within 1 year using approved masks (3M 1860 S/R, 1870+, or 9205+). Onsite fit testing available if needed.
- Negative 9-panel drug test within 30 days of start.
- Immunizations and titers (must be completed within 2 business days of contract signing):
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Td not accepted in lieu of Tdap)
- Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 1 year or clear chest X-ray if positive TB history.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – Proof of immunity by titer or vaccination series.
- Hepatitis B – Proof of immunity or declination.
- Varicella – Proof of immunity by titer or vaccination series or declination.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required for the 2025-26 flu season. Declinations without exemption are not accepted.
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of facility orientation modules (~2 hours) prior to start.
- Passport-style photo with plain background for badge.
- COVID-19 and Influenza religious or medical exemption forms must be submitted at least one week prior to documentation due date if applicable.
- Illinois Department of Public Health fingerprinting required for candidates without an Illinois state license; prints must be done in Illinois no later than the Monday before start date.
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
- Candidates must be prepared to rotate between three clinic locations in the area.
