Description

Registered Nurse (Surgery) - Travel Position

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provides independent nursing care in a surgical setting, managing routine and complex patient needs.
Utilizes nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers.
Delegates tasks appropriately to manage clinical situations.

Work Schedule

5 days per week, 8-hour shifts
Weekend and on-call duties required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
Operating Room (OR) experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
