Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

42-bed Heart Failure / Stroke Unit
Patient population includes neurological and cardiac conditions such as congestive heart failure and acute stroke
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Team works closely with cardiologists and neurologists to provide specialized care

Work Schedule & Environment

Holidays as required
Every other weekend
36 or 48 hours per week available (36 hours guaranteed)
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Solid navy scrub dress code
Patient-facing role
On-site position (not remote)

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Experience

Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg / Telemetry experience

Timesheet approver roles assigned (not relevant for candidate)
