- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Total 36 hours per week
Job Description
- Must be willing to float to other campuses (MS-Tele Units) if census drops to maintain hours.
- Call required; must be able to return to the facility within 1 hour when called.
- Every Other Weekend (EOW) work is required.
- Minimal or no Return to Office (RTO) preferred.
- Knowledge of medication scanning required.
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
- Minimum 2 years of recent and consecutive experience in Medical-Surgical (MS) and Telemetry nursing, with experience within the last year.
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Experience in an acute care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Proof of I9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service).
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation.
- 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, national criminal search, sex offender registry, OFAC, education verification; must be updated annually.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals.
- Ohio BCI and FBI fingerprint attestation required within 12 months of start; may start with fingerprints pending if clear background check on file.
- Highest level of education verification.
- NURSYS verification for RN license within 30 days of start.
- Unit-specific competency exam with a minimum score of 80%, updated annually.
- Physical exam within 12 months of start, updated annually.
- Fit mask testing prior to start.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, updated annually and after breaks in service of 2+ months.
- Immunizations and titers:
- TDAP within 10 years or signed declination.
- Negative 2-step TB test or equivalent within 12 months, updated annually.
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers or 2 adult MMR vaccines with booster if needed (declinations not accepted).
- Hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or declination.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season.
- COVID-19 exemption form required for medical or religious exemptions; approved exemptions require masking during flu season.
- References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
- Complete employment application/resume.
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units.
Orientation & Training Requirements
- Completion of online Healthstream modules by specified deadlines.
- Review and sign agency and unit-specific job descriptions prior to start.
- Review and sign new employee orientation packets.
- Completion of unit-specific training packets and acknowledgments.
- Skills check-offs for specific competencies (e.g., Stat Strip Nova Glucometer, Aseptic Compounding - IV Medications) during first week.
- Completion of Epic system access modules by deadlines (if applicable).
Additional Notes
- Candidates must submit all time off requests.
- Photo for badge required (headshot, shoulders up, white background, .jpeg format).
- Must attest to ability to meet physical demands of the position.
- Radiation badges issued to applicable candidates by the client.
- Attendance policy must be reviewed and signed prior to start.
This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs with strong MS/Telemetry skills who are flexible with floating and call requirements, and who meet all licensing, certification, and compliance standards.
