Cath Lab Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job – Mount Holly, New Jersey


Position Details

  • Job Title: Cath Lab Registered Nurse
  • Location: Mount Holly, New Jersey
  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Hours per Week: 40 hours
  • Float Requirement: Must float within 3 hospitals within skillset
  • Call Requirement:
    • 2 weekend shifts and 6 weekday shifts every 4-week period
    • Weekend shifts: 2 shifts every 4 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Jersey
  • Cardiac Cath Lab experience with a minimum of 2 years
  • Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one travel assignment
  • ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Certifications & Competencies

  • ACLS and BLS certifications must not expire within 30 days of contract start
  • Dysrhythmia test required for this specialty
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required
  • NIH Stroke Certification required for RNs in MS, Tele, MS/Tele, ICU, ED, PCU (verify if applicable)

Health & Safety Requirements

  • Physical exam within the last 12 months
  • Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (required before first shift)
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGold, or TSpot) within 1 year of start; if positive, chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required
  • Annual TB questionnaire
  • Required immunizations or positive titers for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer or declination accepted)
    • Varicella
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by October 31 (flu season ends March 31)
  • 10-panel drug screen (without THC panel) within 6 months of start, updated annually
  • Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better)
  • Latex questionnaire

Background & Documentation

  • 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
  • Proof of I9 or attestation
  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
  • E-Verify proof or attestation
  • NURSYS verification for RN license
  • Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
  • Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (New Jersey state requirement)
  • Two professional references within last 2 years

Facility Specific Requirements

  • Badge photo submission by deadline
  • Completion of facility-specific non-employee access forms (time sensitive)
  • Personal or auto insurance required if assigned to home health locations
  • Car registration required if assigned to home health locations

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be prepared to float between multiple hospital locations within the region as needed
  • Local candidates living within 50 miles may have different pay considerations (not included here)
  • Failure to complete required testing or documentation on time will result in contract cancellation
