Shift Details

• Night shift
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:30 to 7:00)
• Total 36 hours per week

Required Experience

• Must have Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Active and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in Louisiana
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable)

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Louisiana
• Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience
• Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year

Required Qualifications and Compliance

• Copy of valid photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Criminal background check (updated if no assignment within last 90 days)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as required by profession
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Annual respirator fit testing including mask size
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, with appropriate follow-up documentation if applicable
• 12-panel drug screen within 90 days prior to start (includes amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, marijuana, MDMA, methadone, opiates, oxycodone, PCP, tricyclic antidepressants)
• Two professional references required

Additional Notes

• Flu vaccination is not required for employment but vaccine or declination documentation should be obtained for file
• Facility-specific orientation includes mandatory Healthstream courses and return demonstrations for glucose testing
• Candidates must sign System Access and Confidentiality Agreement prior to start
• Medical and religious exemption forms are available for influenza and COVID vaccinations, subject to facility review
