Description

Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 days/week, 8 hours/day)
Call/Holiday Coverage: May be required as needed


Job Summary

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Position involves working within a 90-mile local rate area
  • Typical workweek is 40 hours

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Mammography Technologist license in Texas
  • Minimum of 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience
  • Mammography Technologist experience within the last year

Required Documentation

  • Valid government-issued photo ID or passport (name must match all documentation)
  • I9 or attestation form
  • E-Verify or attestation form
  • Background checks within 30 days of start including:
    • 7-year county criminal background check for all locations lived/worked
    • Sex offender search
    • State police investigation if applicable
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
  • Facility-specific forms including:
    • Job description acknowledgment
    • Hepatitis B declination if applicable
    • Flu vaccine exemption forms if applicable
    • NESF security form prior to start
  • Passport-style photo for badge

Additional Information

  • Fit test for mask completed onsite during orientation, updated annually
  • Competency exams must be completed within 30 days of start date
  • Some certifications and exams require annual renewal or updates
  • Candidates may be required to cover call and holidays as needed

Notes for Candidates

  • Verify unit-specific certification requirements with the job description before start
  • Candidates are allowed two attempts for required competency exams; a third attempt may be allowed with client approval
  • Immunization boosters may be required if titers are low or equivocal; tracking and collection of boosters may be managed during assignment
