Operating Room Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Lake Charles, Louisiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Operating Room nursing position on night shift.
• Requires flexibility for extended flip schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana.
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific documents prior to start, including:

  • Information Security and Confidentiality Agreement.
  • PHI Pledge of Confidentiality.
  • Clinical On-boarding Exam and New Hire Annual Education.
  • TB Questionnaire (updated annually).
  • Dress Code Policy (for review).
  • COVID and Flu exemption forms if applicable.

Additional Notes

• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is required only for ER, not for OR.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Orientation and competency exams must be completed as part of onboarding.
