Description
Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: North Richland Hills, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week (Monday - Thursday), 10 hours per day (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Job Description
- Perform 6-7 nuclear medicine studies daily using Siemens equipment.
- Independently run stress tests.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including medical assistants, sonographers, and cardiologists.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Texas.
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Certification: NMTCB or NMT.
- Certification: ARRT (Radiology).
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport).
- I9 or attestation.
- E-Verify or attestation.
- Background checks within 30 days of start, including:
- 7-year county criminal background search.
- Sex offender search.
- State police investigation if applicable.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
- Physical exam within 12 months of start.
- Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; chest X-ray if positive.
- Fit test for mask (completed onsite or prior to start).
- Drug screening (10-panel) within 30 days of start.
- Immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (required for all travelers).
- Hepatitis B (vaccine series and positive titer or signed declination).
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (positive titers or 2 vaccine doses; boosters if titers low).
- Varicella (positive titers or 2 vaccine doses; boosters if titers low).
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
- Photo for badge (passport style, head and shoulders, clear background).
- Completion and signature of job description prior to start.
- Two professional references within 3 years of hire.
Additional Notes
- Candidates must complete medication and dysrhythmia/EKG competency exams as applicable.
- Stress test competency and ability to work independently are essential.
- Work environment includes collaboration with cardiologists and sonographers.
- Equipment used: Siemens nuclear medicine camera.
This position offers a structured 4-day workweek with consistent hours and a focused specialty in nuclear medicine within cardiology.
