Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location

Schedule
- Night shift: 18:00 - 06:30 (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each)
- Total hours per week: 36
- Call: Not required
- Floating: As needed within scope
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Arkansas
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA required)
Certifications & Licenses
- Current RRT license required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required depending on unit
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM) required only if applicable to specific units (not mandatory for this role unless specified)
Facility & Job Requirements
- EMR system used: Meditech
- Block scheduling allowed
- Locals not allowed; radius restriction of 50 miles
- First-time travelers accepted
- Start date: ASAP
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Proof of I9 or attestation
- Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
- Background check: 7-year criminal check within 1 year of start, updated annually; must cover all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification required
- E-Verify and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
- Annual fit mask test prior to start
- Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year of start, updated annually; if positive, clear chest X-ray and health department clearance required
- Drug screen (9 panel including marijuana) within 2 weeks of start
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity (titer or vaccination) or approved declination for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
- Influenza (seasonal vaccine or declination during flu season)
- COVID-19 vaccine or approved facility declination
- Religious or medical COVID-19 exemption forms available but require committee approval
Additional Requirements
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Completed employment application/resume
- Skills checklist updated annually as applicable
- Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the system over 1 year
- Internal evaluations required if previously worked over 2 years
This position is suitable for RRTs with at least 1 year of experience, willing to work night shifts on a travel contract basis, and able to meet comprehensive compliance and immunization requirements.
