Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health – Inpatient (Evenings)
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary

Job Summary
- Provide nursing care based on the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and physicians to develop and adjust care plans.
- Provide direction and oversight to licensed and non-licensed staff.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in various clinical settings with diverse behavioral health populations.
- Educate patients and families regarding care, discharge, and aftercare planning.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
- Document and report all necessary information according to policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report any potential safety risks to physicians.
- Function as a clinical leader by delegating and coordinating staff assignments and promoting staff development.
- May serve as charge nurse and be responsible for scheduling, staffing, and training direct care staff.
- Uphold professional standards, quality improvement, and organizational mission and values.
- Support a recovery-focused, person-centered approach in community residential settings.
- Maintain annual training and demonstrate competency in required programmatic training.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience.
- Psychiatric nursing experience within the last year.

- Position may offer opportunity to work up to 48 hours per week depending on demand; additional shifts are not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess patient care needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide nursing care and milieu management in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
- Educate patients and families on care and discharge planning.
- Ensure safety and security in individual and group settings.
- Document and communicate patient information accurately.
- Lead and coordinate nursing staff and promote professional development.
- Participate in quality improvement and resource management.
- May oversee medication and physical health activities indirectly.
