Physical Therapist (PT) - Temp Position

Location: Fort Dodge, Iowa
Shift: Days (8 hours per day)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Provide professional and clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Work 4 days per week in an outpatient clinic and 1 day per week in acute care.
• May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Opportunity to work 1-2 acute care weekends during the assignment (Saturday 7:00 AM–12:00 PM, Sunday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM) is available but not mandatory.
• Patient focus includes orthopedic, neurological, and safety discharge cases.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Physical Therapist experience (work history must reflect this).
• At least 1 year of previous PT experience required.
• Outpatient experience required; inpatient experience preferred.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required.
• Physical Therapist license valid for practice in Iowa.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Skills checklist specific to Physical Therapist discipline required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of at least 1 prior travel contract preferred.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.

Additional Details

• Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 60 miles from the facility.
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays.
• On-call availability includes Saturday and Sunday morning shifts as noted above.

Work Environment

• Interdisciplinary team setting.
• Use of EPIC EMR system.
• Floating within the discipline across local campuses may be required.

Note: This is a temporary assignment with a 13-week duration.
