Cath Lab Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job
Location: Beaufort, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Work primarily in the cardiac Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) holding department.
- Adult patient population with various disease processes.
- Procedural area responsibilities including pre- and post-procedure care.
- Schedule: 4x9-hour shifts (36 hours/week), primarily dayshift Monday-Friday, with rotating evening, night, weekend, and holiday call. Occasional 5x8 shifts as needed.
- Must work within a 50-mile radius restriction.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, with experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Conscious Sedation
- Hemodynamic monitoring
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
- Required immunizations or titers (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B) or facility-specific declination forms.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required year-round.
- COVID vaccination or declination required.
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no instant tests).
- Employee health questionnaire and serial TB screening on file.
Documentation and Onboarding Requirements
- Proof of I9 or attestation.
- Government-issued photo ID carried during work hours.
- E-Verify proof or attestation.
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start (for new candidates).
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals.
- NURSYS primary source verification for RN license.
- Completion of approximately 81 Relias training modules prior to first shift and orientation.
- Badge photo meeting facility standards (no hats, sunglasses, filters, or shadows).
- Signed job description and confidentiality agreements.
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
- Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units.

- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
- Facility is strict about documentation and compliance; all required documents must be current and complete for clearance.
