Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab (Travel/Contract)

Location: Odessa, Texas
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8 AM to 5 PM (40 hours/week)
Weekend Scheduling: None

Job Summary

Provide physical therapy services in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation.
• Government-issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service).
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation.
• Background check: 7-year criminal history check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, including SS trace, counties, nationwide, sex offender registry, and FACIS level 3.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for every contract renewal/extension.
• Primary source verification of state license.
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
• Clinical references: proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Employment application/resume.
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit.
• Performance evaluation if worked over 1 year; internal evaluation if over 2 years with the agency.

Certifications (Must be current and from ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – as required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – as required

Health Requirements

• Initial physical exam and annual updates attesting ability to meet physical demands.
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually; if past positive, clear chest X-ray within 1 year and annual TB questionnaire.
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within the last 12 months (instant acceptable).
