Description
Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift (5 days per week, 8 hours per day, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Job Description
- Competency required in PET and general nuclear medicine (excluding cardiac nuclear medicine).
- Experience with Siemens PET CT, Siemens and Phillips nuclear medicine cameras.
- Rotation includes weeks of on-call duty for emergency cases.
- Scrubs color: Royal Blue or Khaki.
Required Qualifications
- Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 1 year of experience.
- Experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist within the last year.
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start date.
- Fit test for approved masks within 1 year of start date; must be renewed annually.
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start date (no declinations except approved medical exemptions).
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year of start date; chest X-ray and TB questionnaire required if positive.
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start date.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31).
Documentation and Compliance
- I-9 verification required.
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID required.
- E-Verify compliance required.
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start date, updated annually.
- Education verification required (highest level of education).
- Work history verification for the past 7 years.
- Photo for badge required.
- Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually.
- Completion of employment application/resume.
Additional Notes
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required.
- Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests required as applicable.
- Color blindness test required.
- Fingerprinting required for certain states (not applicable here).
- Rotation includes on-call weeks for emergency cases.
