Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Seattle, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse
- Start Date: ASAP
- Patient Population: Orthopedic sports (limited total joints), minimally invasive arthroscopic and laparoscopic cases, robotics, general surgery, gynecology, urology, plastics. Experience with neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular cases is a plus.
- Work Environment: Very busy, high acuity academic setting
- Floating: Yes, within the hospital only (no floating to sister hospitals)
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, as needed
- Call Requirement: Circulator call includes 3 weeknight call shifts per 4-week schedule and 2 twenty-four-hour weekend call shifts per month (total 5 call shifts)
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending License: Not accepted
- RTO (Return to Office) Restrictions: Maximum 1 week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
- CVOR experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Fit mask test required within 9-12 months of start (3M N95 preferred; PAPR available onsite if fit test failed)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- TDAP vaccine within last 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (1 vaccine acceptable if born before 1957)
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (history of disease not accepted at this facility)
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccine series completion and positive titer or signed declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccination or approved exemption/declination with education module completion during flu season (September–April)
- COVID vaccination or declination required for tracking purposes
- Physical exam required (signed by physician within 1 year of start)
- 10-panel drug screen required within one year of start (not facility-mandated but required by agency)

- Scrub color: Any (scrubs provided for OR personnel)
- Charting system: EPIC
- Parking cost: Approximately $10.26 daily
- Performance evaluation requested at end of assignment (for this location only)
- Badge photo required prior to start (professional DMV-style photo)
- Various facility-specific agreements and checklists must be completed prior to start
- IT support available 24/7 for email and system access setup
