ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Quincy, Illinois
Position Details
- Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse
- Location: Quincy, Illinois
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in ICU or CVU/CVICU settings.
- Local candidates are also considered.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Illinois.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Required Documentation (to be completed prior to start)
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID) with 2 forms of ID required.
- Emergency contact form.
- Employment application.
- References: At least 2 recent professional references within the last 3 years.
- Skills checklist (annual).
- Various facility-specific forms including employee health information, non-discrimination statement, code of conduct, confidentiality agreement, safety information, mandated reporter acknowledgement, parking tag request, and system access forms.
- Photo for badge (headshot, JPEG format).
- Completion of computer-based learning modules prior to start (approximately 4 hours).
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
- Strongly preferred but not required certifications for related specialties:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy) certification for Oncology
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) for ER
This position offers an opportunity to work in a critical care ICU setting on night shifts with a reputable healthcare facility in Illinois. Candidates must meet all licensure, certification, health, and documentation requirements prior to start.
